We have dogs to move and nobody to move them!

Are you perhaps retired, bored, and looking for something to do during the business day and you also LOVE dogs?

Well, maybe you can help us!

ARTBAR is a dog rescue based in Mingo County WV. We rescue dogs from Mingo and Pike counties in WV/KY and our founder works a full time job, so getting dogs to the vet is a real struggle for us. We need volunteers with reliable vehicles who are available on weekdays to take our dogs to and from the vet’s offices.

We will provide you with gas money if you can help us out throughout the week during the business day. You gas up your vehicle and give us the receipt for reimbursement, so all you are giving us is your time and it’s not costing you out of pocket to volunteer.

You must be:
Solidly reliable, if you commit you always show up.
Have a reliable vehicle and current auto insurance.
Be very comfortable around dogs you don’t know.

We’re hoping to build a pool of several drivers so nobody has to be out there every day driving dogs for us. When you reply to this listing, let us know what your general availability would be, what days of the week could you drive?

We will probably need some people who can meet our founder with a dog before she goes to work in the morning, so there could be some 7 am weekday driving involved with pick ups being around the vicinity of Dingess tunnel or Cheech’s Pizza.
